For safety reasons, it is recommended not to put those cute bumpers around cribs because babies can suffocate. To be honest, we had bumpers in both Talan's and Hunter's cribs. Neither of them ever slept too close to the edge and it never seemed to be an issue.
Then, there was Kenton. He moves everywhere and we made the decision to take the bumper off his crib. Although I'm not worried about him suffocating, not having the bumper has brought upon other issues. Besides his pacifier falling out in the middle of the night, there have been a few instances of body parts getting stuck. Today, I walked in on both legs stuck to the point that it left huge indentations on his legs.
So I ask, bumpers or no bumpers?
