I should have seen it coming with the way the night was going. The boys were very excited to put up the final Christmas decorations. Hunter was climbing on to the top of the couch, which he's never done before. It was just craziness.
Then came bath time. The boys are on a new kick of taking showers. They love to have the water flow on top of them, while they plug the tub and can have a bath all at the same time. They have a blast, but also seem to get themselves into trouble too. (Think emptying a bottle of baby wash into the bath for bubbles and putting the decorative shower curtain inside the tub that is filled with water.)
Of course, this injury happened before both boys were even in the shower. Aaron put Hunter into the shower while Talan was finishing getting ready to get into the shower (I'll spare you the details!). Next thing Aaron knew, he heard a big thud, which he thought was a shampoo bottle being dropped, and then crying from the shower. Aaron and Talan both leapt to the shower to check on Hunter. He's pointing to his mouth and saying "Ow!" while he's crying.
After a quick investigation and a speedy soap down, Aaron and I figured out what had happened ...
If you look carefully, you can see a red mark on his forehead ...
and a chipped tooth!
My poor baby! He's such a trooper ... and to think it wasn't even his brother's fault! :)
