A Really Big Boy Bedroom

For Talan's birthday, we decided to redo his bedroom.  It was about time to retire the toddler bed and move on, sadly.  Talan originally decided he wanted a "choo choo train" bedroom.  However, when he saw the Mario Kart bedding, he was sold! 

So yesterday. we spent the morning buying two twin mattresses and the Mario bedding.  Then, after "nap," we tackled the bedroom.

First, we had to take apart the toddler bed ...

Then, we realized that we needed to move ALL of the furniture in the room in order to make the bed fit properly with the trundle.  Here is his bed after we got it all put together.  The bed is SO cool!  It has the trundle underneath, as well as 3 drawers underneath the trundle.

It took Talan a while to settle in and fall asleep ... he was just too excited!

Hunter was in bed by the time we finished everything last night.  He LOVES his brother's new room.  Talan asked us to pull out the trundle so Hunter could lay on it to watch a movie this morning.

Here is the final product of the bedroom.  We still need to get some wall decorations, but he's very pleased (and so are we).

 The bed is tall.  Talan likes to pull out the bottom trundle so he can climb up easier.

 Talan is "giving" his glider to Kenton, so it's no longer in his room.  Now we have room to put up the easle he got last Christmas so it might actually get used.
